Police Bodycam: Woman Sets House on Fire While Armed With Knives

Police spend an extended period attempting to convince Allison Lakey to put down two knives and leave the house peacefully. The situation changes dramatically when officers notice smoke and then flames inside the kitchen. As the fire grows and conditions inside deteriorate, officers are forced to move into the burning home.
After repeated attempts to use Tasers and persuade Lakey to drop the knives, the encounter ends in a fatal police shooting. A New York Attorney General investigation found that four officers fired 16 rounds as Lakey ran toward them while wielding two knives. The Attorney General's office ultimately determined it could not prove the officers' use of deadly force was unjustified, and no criminal charges were filed.
