On June 9, 2025, what begins as a routine traffic stop for an obscured license plate and faulty brake light quickly develops into something much more serious.
The officer says he smells marijuana coming from the vehicle, prompting further investigation. The occupants remain relatively cooperative as officers investigate, bring in a K9, and eventually search the vehicle.
That's when police discover a grinder and what they believe to be marijuana.
One of the occupants then reveals an important detail: she's currently on probation. Although she has a medical marijuana card, officers explain that the conditions of her probation still apply.
Her explanation is remarkably straightforward: she didn't read the rules.
What started with a brake light and license plate ultimately ends with her being taken into custody.
