Police Respond as Exes Argue Over Who Has to Take the Dog

Atlas Ioka reacts to police bodycam footage from Appleton, Wisconsin, where officers respond to a dispute between a separated couple over their family dog.

When police arrive, the two are arguing about who should be responsible for caring for the dog. She says she has been left with the responsibility and wants her ex to take the animal, while he explains that his apartment doesn't allow pets.

Officers separate the two and begin trying to understand what led to the call. What initially appears to be a disagreement over a family pet becomes a much more complicated encounter as the conversation continues.
