Drunk Woman Refuses to Leave Beach During Police Encounter, Bodycam Reaction

Atlas Ioka reacts to police body cam footage after police officers respond to a beach where lifeguards were concerned about an apparently intoxicated woman who had returned to the water after being told not to causing concerns of safety.

When officers make contact, they tell her she needs to leave the beach and give her the opportunity to call a friend or order an Uber. What could have been a relatively simple encounter becomes increasingly confrontational as she argues with officers, insults them, and repeatedly insists she knows her rights.

After officers continue trying to get her safely off the beach, the encounter ultimately ends in an arrest.

The suspect was charged with disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer without violence. According to the source footage, both charges were later dropped.
