A county jail employee is arrested after an alleged road rage and brake-checking crash escalates into a confrontation with police. Police bodycam footage shows the traffic crash investigation turn into resisting arrest, a Taser deployment, a DUI investigation, and multiple felony charges.
The woman repeatedly tells officers that she works at the county jail and personally knows one of them as officers attempt to investigate the crash. Police say witnesses reported that she had been brake-checking another vehicle before the collision.
The encounter escalates when she refuses to provide information and exit her vehicle. After a struggle with officers and a Taser deployment, she is placed under arrest. Her confrontational behavior continues while officers investigate the crash, arrange medical clearance, and eventually transport her to the county jail where she worked.
According to the footage, Tara was charged with felony resisting an officer with violence, three counts of felony battery on a law enforcement officer, DUI with property damage, resisting without violence, reckless driving, and refusal to submit to DUI testing after a previous suspension.
